April Love Geary is opening up more about her abortion story. The 26-year-old model posted a series of videos on her Instagram Stories on Thursday in response to a question from a follower asking her to talk more about how she healed mentally and physically after her loss.
"So my story on abortion sucks, but I'll talk about it," the video began. "Mentally healing, I knew it was the right thing to do, so that's what always made me feel good about the decision." Geary said she went to the abortion clinic alone. "Afterward, [the guy] came and picked me up and took me straight to the airport," he said. "So, you know, I made the right decision because who does that after someone has an abortion?"
April Love Geary, who now has three children with Robin Thicke, went on to say that therapy also helped her get through the experience emotionally. "I knew I couldn't give this kid a good life," he said. "It just wasn't the right time for me. I don't regret it."
Geary has previously spoken about her abortion on her social networks, in response to critical messages in 2019. And in 2018 through a question box a fan did not hesitate to ask her if she had really had an abortion, to which April replied saying yes, before Mia, her first daughter, but two months after having her she became pregnant with her second child. "I've been getting a lot of DMs saying things like 'how could you support abortion when you're a mother yourself?' So this is MY body, MY body after having an abortion in 2014, a miscarriage in 2017, give birth to a baby in 2018 and 2019, "she wrote, along with a photo of her stomach. "I'm glad I was able to make decisions about MY body without facing any kind of punishment."
On Thursday, she shared a message with anyone considering an abortion. Making it clear that women are the ones who make the decision of their body and it is difficult but that terrible situation can be overcome.
