The actor has been accused of having rape and cannibalism fantasies, and several women have decided to raise their voices, because they have allegedly been victims of these abusive insinuations.
Armie Hammer is in the eye of the storm. After being accused of having rape and cannibalism fantasies and of starring in "cruel online attacks", his ex-partner and mother of his two children, Elizabeth Chambers, has broken her silence.
Last weekend, private chats were leaked between the actor and other women, with explicit conversations about his desires. Now, his ex-wife has given her point of view, through someone close to her, about the disturbing messages.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, a source close to the actor and his ex-partner said Elizabeth is "appalled and disgusted" by the behavior of Armie Hammer, who "appears to be a monster". According to this source, who is said to be a close friend of the presenter, Elizabeth Chambers had already been warned by other women of the extreme sexual behavior of the star of 'Call me by your name'.
"Many of these women approached Elizabeth, and although she did not want to admit it at first, she now knows that they were telling the truth. Armie had this other dark side that she never knew about. Whether it was always there and hiding it, or if something happened that changed him completely, she doesn't know," said the source.
Interestingly, both Elizabeth and Armie Hammer keep pictures of both of them with their children on their Instagram profiles, when they seemed very happy. The actor announced last July that he had decided to separate from his wife after a decade of marriage. They are the parents of two children: Harper, 5, and Ford, 3.
The actor came out to defend himself
Under the name 'House of Effie' on Instagram, a person leaked messages she allegedly received from the actor, which clearly show the content of cannibalism.
"Oh, my God. That has made it so hard for me and it's confusing to imagine why. To imagine me holding your heart in my hand and controlling when it beats. I am 100% cannibalistic. I want to eat you. Damn, it's scary to admit that. I've never admitted it before," was one of those messages.
Through a statement, Armie Hammer defended herself: "I will not respond to these lies, but in light of the cruel and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate supports me in this and I am grateful to them for it".
The actor referred to his departure from the filming of 'Shotgun Wedding', a movie he was going to star in with Jennifer Lopez, directed by Jason Moore. The actor also planned to work on the sequel to 'Call my by your name'.
