After the 30 Rock star asked her fans and followers who they would like to see in the cast of the film, we decided to ask herself.
Originally, Tina suggested that she might not know the actors she could choose from as she would like to do some stars, however, she was quick to say, "If Billie Eilish wants to play Janis and Zendaya wants to play Cady, let's go! that!".
Previously, characters like Sabrina Carpenter and Cameron Dallas appeared in the Mean Girls Musical, playing Cady Heron and Aaron Samuels respectively. "I am very excited to bring Mean Girls back to the big screen," Tina Fey said in a statement.
"It has been incredibly rewarding to see how much the movie and the musical have meant to audiences. I have now spent sixteen years with these characters. They are my Marvel Universe and I love them deeply," added Fey.
As we mentioned in The Truth News, Zendaya is currently filming the untitled sequel to Spider-Man, in which she plays MJ, after completing Dune and Malcolm & Marie, where she stars alongside John David Washington. Billie Eilish has also been keeping busy, as she just released the first trailer for her documentary "Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry." The production, which will arrive next year, focuses on the life and musical career of the 18-year-old star.
