The two singers have collaborated on the song 'Resilient' and had an entertaining and interesting chat with their followers on their social media.
A few months ago a surprising international collaboration was announced in the world of music: Aitana would participate in a remix of Katy Perry's song 'Resilient', in which DJ Tiesto would also collaborate. A song that is part of the Californian singer's album 'Smile' and whose YouTube video has more than 8 million views.
This has been the reason why the two artists have surprised their followers with a live on Instagram this week, with more than 60,000 people witnessing this conversation (in English), and in which they have chatted about various topics and got to know each other a little more, since the recording was made separately due to the pandemic, perhaps to continue working together?
"I'm nervous, don't mind my English," Aitana told her followers a few hours earlier. However, the conversation was fun, enjoyable and a breath of fresh air for both singers: Katy revealed that she is learning Spanish, because it is increasingly important to her. The truth is that one of her biggest hits in recent years was 'Con calma', with Daddy Yankee, so it is clear that she wants to bet on the Latin market, which has been one of the fastest growing in 2020.
The Californian singer admitted that the finalist of 'Operación Triunfo 2017', a Spanish musical talent show, had sent her up to seven versions of her part in Spanglish, something she was very grateful to her partner: "The last one was a success". In addition, she said she "saw herself reflected" in the Spaniard, before asking her to tell her fans how she started her career. She was interested to learn that the Catalan had come out of a talent show, since Orlando Bloom's fiancée has been a judge on American Idol since 2018.
Katy said she was looking forward to being able to come to Spain and share the stage with Aitana, although she is currently in California with Orlando Bloom and their daughter Dove, who was born in August 2020. One of her dogs also appeared briefly in the stream, causing laughter between both participants.
Of course, her maternity leave is over, as she was one of the performers at Joe Biden's inauguration in Washington, performing her hit song 'Firework' with fireworks in the background.
Katy admitted that the best way to feel good in these difficult times is to keep busy, but that above all, the transcendental meditation she does, in which she keeps very still to be aware of herself, has changed her life. The singer has even quoted a phrase from the bible, in Psalms 46:10, which says "Be still and know that I am God," as one of her guides in these complicated times.
"The smallest things have become the most important," admitted the 'Roar' singer, who also wanted to point out that Aitana's voice transmits light, joy and hope.
While this conversation was taking place, the unconditional support of Miguel Bernardeau was not lacking. The actor was present during the Instagram live, and left evidence of this in the comments. Some of the followers were able to capture the messages written by the star of Élite, who is about to start filming the fourth season, and in which they could read compliments such as "Guapa" or "Preciosa".
