The divorce of one of the most famous couples in Hollywood, that of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, "is imminent," says several sources.
The reality star is rumored to have even hired a celebrity divorce attorney. "He keeps it low-key, but they're done," a source told the Page Six tabloid. "Kim hired Laura Wasser and they are negotiating a deal," he adds. Rumors are fueled by the fact that Kim Kardashian no longer wears her wedding ring, while Kanye stayed at his Wyoming ranch during the holidays instead of spending them with the Kardashian family.
"Kim made Kanye go [to Wyoming] so they can live separate lives and quietly work things out to separate and divorce. She is fed up," continues the source.
The source details that the model has done a lot in the past to help her husband deal with his mental health problems, but "now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown a lot." "She takes the bar exam seriously, she's serious about her campaign for prison reform. Meanwhile, Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy things, and she's had enough," he says.
Another source confirmed that negotiations for a divorce settlement were already underway, but it is not yet clear how his properties will be divided. However, another popular tabloid TMZ cites its multiple sources that also speak that the marriage was in "serious trouble" during the last half of 2020, but "they have not given up." According to TMZ, Kardashian has hired attorney Wasser as an advance for "various reasons" but has not given the green light to the divorce request.
Sources confirm that Kim sometimes thinks divorce is the only option, but that at other times she believes there is an opportunity to save the marriage. So they took a separate family vacation in late 2020 and see if they could fix things.
Meanwhile, another source says that Kanye West, who became increasingly uncomfortable and irritated by the exaggerated life of the stars of the reality show, "has completely finished with the whole family (...) He wants nothing to do with them".
"I've been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at Warldolf for 'prison reform,' '' West tweeted in July 2020, referring to his wife's meeting with rapper Meek Mill in 2018 to discuss prison reform. He also called his mother-in-law Kris Jenner "Kris Jong-Un" and claimed that the Kardashians were trying to force him to undergo psychiatric treatment.
Kim and Kanye got married in 2014 in a luxurious wedding ceremony in Italy. They have four children (North, seven, son Saint, five, daughter Chicago, who turns three in mid-January, and Psalm, 19 months).
Representatives for Kim and Kanye, for their part, have yet to comment.
