Evan Rachel Wood, the American actress nominated for an Emmy for Westworld (HBO), 33, has publicly accused the singer Marilyn Manson (52) of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
She has done so through an Instagram post and in a statement to Vanity Fair: "The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson," the actress commented in her official statement. For years, Wood has claimed that she has been the victim of domestic violence and abuse consistently throughout her life. Now the actress has finally decided to publicly reveal who the alleged abuser was.
"He started stalking me as a teenager and abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submitting. I no longer live in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to report this dangerous man and make an appeal to the many industries that have tolerated him before he ruins more lives. I am with the many victims who will no longer keep silent, "says the actress.
Several testimonies have been added to the words of the actress and at least four other women also declare they have been victims of abuse by the singer. One of them is Ashley Walters: "The abuse he has caused is clear; he continues to inflict so many and I cannot stand by and let this happen to others. Brian Warner must be held accountable," he writes, who claims to suffer from post-traumatic stress to root of abuse.
Sara Mcneilly, who also ensures that her self-esteem and personal goals have been affected by Manson's fault, commented in the post: "He likes to ruin people's lives. I want Brian to be held accountable for his evil."
That of the actress and the gothic singer was a tortuous and controversial relationship since it became known that they were dating in 2007. At that time, Wood was only 19 years old and he was 38. They both got engaged in 2010 but separated that same year without getting married, and since then there has been speculation about the events that led to this separation.
