Ginger is a root with a long history, since it began to be used in Chinese and Indian culture several centuries ago, as a medicinal remedy. Years later, the Greeks and Romans expanded its use to Europe and, little by little, spread its use around the world.
Today we will talk about its benefits, specifically in the case of hair, because ginger is used in cosmetics and masks for all the benefits it offers: it is full of antioxidants to regenerate hair roots, increases blood flow to oxygenate the follicles and regenerates the aged parts of the scalp. It's the best!
If you want to take advantage of its qualities, we recommend including it in your daily diet, as well as using its root in hair masks. These tips will give you an extra long mane!
Ginger and honey mask
For this remedy you are going to wash and grate a medium piece of ginger (5 cm on average). Then, add 1 ½ tablespoons of 100% natural honey, stir until you create a homogeneous mixture and let it sit for about 20 minutes at room temperature.
When this time has elapsed, wash your hair as usual and, before the conditioner, apply the mask all over your hair. Wait 20 minutes and proceed to rinse and continue with the application of your treatments.
Ginger and carrot mask
Cut half of a medium carrot and a piece of ginger about 4 centimeters long. Now, wash, peel and put each piece in a juicer to obtain a juice. Next, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to a container, plus the juices we already have, mix and apply from roots to ends. Leave on for 15 minutes and remove with lukewarm water to perfectly eliminate the remains of the mask.
Ginger and turmeric mask
This combination is perfect for hair growth, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and stimulating properties. How to prepare it? Grate a medium-sized piece of ginger and put the pulp in a sky blanket or with cotton fibers.
Squeeze the zest, pour the juice into a jar, add a teaspoon of turmeric powder and two tablespoons of shampoo and stir. Proceed to wash your hair with this elixir and repeat once every 15 days.
