Water keeps you alive, but you must consume it wisely

Our body is composed mostly of water. The brain has 75%, blood 92%, bones 22% and muscles 75%.

Undoubtedly, drinking water is essential to maintain good health. Every living thing needs it, because it allows our organism to fulfill several vital functions. It helps the proper functioning of the metabolism, digestion and intestinal tract. It also affects the good performance of the heart, kidneys and intervenes in the regulation of body temperature.

Water can also help us avoid headaches. Although some people often substitute food for water to lose weight, doctors say this is not recommended.

The amount of water a person should drink daily depends on their weight and the activities they do, because excess water can also have negative effects, such as mental confusion or dizziness from low sodium in the blood. There may also be fatigue or tiredness from the excess fluid that accumulates in the cells.

However, a properly hydrated body performs its functions correctly. There are also other substances that contain water, such as coffee, tea and soup, but pure water should never be lacking in your daily life.
