A good home remedy to whiten teeth is to brush them daily with a homemade mixture prepared with baking soda and ginger. These ingredients can be easily purchased at drugstores and health food stores, along with a whitening toothpaste.
However, there are other options, such as using a strawberry scrub or a coconut oil rinse, can also be easily prepared and used at home to whiten teeth.

Today we bring you three home remedies so you can whiten your teeth naturally, but always remember to visit your dentist to keep your teeth healthy.

- 1/4 teaspoon of powdered ginger
- 3 drops of peppermint essential oil
Mix all ingredients very well and store in a tightly closed container away from light. Whenever you are going to use it you should wet your toothbrush first, put normal toothpaste on it and then add this mixture, brushing your teeth well and rinsing with water at the end.

- 2 to 3 strawberries
- 1 pinch of coarse salt
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda
Mash the strawberries with a fork to a puree, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Place the mixture on the brush and apply on the teeth, trying to keep it in contact with the tooth wall for about 5 minutes.
Finally, rinse your mouth with water to remove the mixture and brush your teeth with a normal toothpaste. This mixture should only be used 2 to 3 times a week, to avoid tooth wear.
3. Coconut oil rinse
Coconut oil is an antimicrobial that helps eliminate bacterial plaque, in addition to promoting gum health. Thus, it is a very healthy option for whitening teeth, eliminating dark stains.
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
Place a small spoonful of coconut oil or coconut butter in your mouth. Let it melt and rinse your mouth so that the product goes all over your teeth for about 3 to 5 minutes. Finally, remove the excess and brush your teeth.
To successfully lighten teeth it is also important to follow some tips such as not drinking dark colored drinks like black tea or coffee, or industrialized juices, which contain many dyes and end up darkening the teeth.
