Did you know that it is possible to prevent sagging eyelids with a simple routine of facial exercises? Read all about it.
From the age of 40, the eyelid muscle begins to lose firmness and elasticity as a normal consequence of aging, being more visible in some people for genetic reasons.
There are many cosmetic and clinical treatments available to reverse the effects of time on this area of the face. However, these comprise a considerable economic investment that puts them out of the reach of most women.
The good news is that to keep your lids tight or restore elasticity to the muscles around your eye, there are a number of simple facial exercises that will only take a few minutes a day.
- The first of these is to open and close the eyes for 5 seconds. For the exercise to do its job, close your eye tightly and open slowly.
- The second routine is to stretch the skin of the temple back, using the fingers. As you do, open and close your eyes quickly. Perform 10 repetitions.
- Sure you have heard of the "dance of the eyebrows". Start by raising your eyebrows, then close your eye, then lower your eyebrow and open your eye. Repeat this routine 12 times.
