"F – k Donald Trump": Bad Bunny finally breaks the silence around the Black Lives Matter movement

The singer decided to make his point of view known in the face of the constant mistreatment that the black race has been the victim of for centuries.

Bad Bunny had written on his Instagram account "Goodbye, I left" a few weeks ago, but the silence of the exponent of the urban genre has been broken to bite heartfelt words, full of anger and pain, marked for everything that has happened since the African American George Floyd died under the leg of a white police officer in Minneapolis.

Bad Bunny finally breaks the silence

Time magazine published the Bunny's words, among which his way of thinking about President Donald Trump and his conviction about this matter stand out.

He pointed out to Time:

"There are artists who only upload a photo or a basic message just to calm public pressure or to look good" (...) I want to go deeper and see how I can serve, how I can support the fight against a systematic monster that has been around for centuries "

He explained that he understands what discrimination is about because he is an exponent of a rejected gender:

"In the case of reggaeton music, we have always fought against discrimination, and although today it is the number one Latino genre in the world, we continue to suffer that discrimination, both in the world for being Latino and in the Latino community itself for being a genre that comes from the street ".

Here are the statements regarding the Black Lives Matter movement:

FORGIVE

Forgive my silence

but I'm not even believing what's going on,

maybe it's because I only see hearts that taught me at home,

that we are all equal regardless of race, religion, surname;

that a brother is hugged.

I SWEAR to you that I don't feel well, nor can I express myself,

I swear it hurts and it hurts even thinking.

That today, even because of someone's skin color, can they kill him?

IN A WORLD LIKE THIS, I CANNOT BREATHE

F – K DONALD TRUMP!

PRESIDENT OF RACISM,

YOUR HATE AND TYRANNY,

THAT IS TERRORISM.

LET THE FIGHT NOT STOP,

NOBODY LOWER HIS FIST,

THEY KNOW WE ARE HOME,

THAT THIS IS OUR LAND.

I remember the boy who was told he had "bad hair",

just like my black neighbors, and they believed it too.

Bad? bad is the one who thinks that still,

NOT KNOWING THAT THE SAME BLOOD RUNS THROUGH ITS VEINS.

Who taught you to be like this?

Why don't you want to change?

Maybe it's the fault of the press for never telling the truth,

OR HISTORY CLASSES THAT DON'T TELL THE REALITY,

AND THEY SHOW THE BLACKS OF SLAVES WITH SUCH NORMALITY,

AND DISCOVERY CALLED HIM, TO BRUTALITY.

TO MURDER AND HUMBLE THOSE OF ANOTHER COLOR,

THAT 500 YEARS LATER,

KEEP DRAGING THE PAIN.

HATE DOES NOT KILL HATE, THAT MAKES IT WORSE.

BUT IN A WORLD LIKE THAT, WHO WANTS TO GIVE HIS LOVE?

IF IT WAS FOR ME, NOTHING OF THIS HAPPENED,

IF IT WAS FOR ME, NOTHING OF THIS WOULD EXIST.

NOBODY KNOWS ANYBODY BY LOOKING AT HIM,

NOBODY KNOWS ANYONE BY THE LOOK OUTSIDE.

FORGIVE ME THAT MY FURY IS SILENT TODAY.

FORGIVE ME FOR TODAY FEELING IMPOTENT,

I SWEAR TO YOU I LOVE YOU AND I WILL ALWAYS BE WITH MY PEOPLE

BUT YOU ALWAYS FIGHT THAT'S WHAT IS IMPORTANT.

NEVER WAIT FOR ARTISTS, NOR FOR FICTIONAL HEROES, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO HAVE THE

POWER !! TEACH YOUR SON, YOUR DAUGHTER, TO RESPECT AND LOVE REGARDLESS OF THE

COLOR OF SKIN, EDUCATE THOSE WHO SEEM TO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE HISTORY OF

SUFFERING AND STRUGGLE THAT BLACK PEOPLE HAVE HAD, ABOUT THE INJUSTITIES WITH

WHICH WE CARRIED FOR THE CENTURIES. MAYBE TODAY WE WILL NOT CHANGE THE

WORLD, BUT TOMORROW WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

#BLACKLIVESMATTER
