Unfortunately, this past Sunday began with a tragic news: the famous Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, was found dead at his residence in Mumbai, India. Everything indicates that it was a suicide, but it is still unknown if he suffered from any illness, state of depression or any other personal (or foreign) problem that would lead him to do so.
This was reported by the police and the media in that country. According to the first data, the 34-year-old celebrity was found hanging in his apartment located in the Bandra suburbs.
Pranaya Ashok, a Mumbai police spokesman, confirmed the death and said details were being investigated, although with the information revealed, he would be almost
case closed.
The young Bollywood actor Rajput started out as a television actor, debuting in Bollywood in 2013 with director Abhishek Kapoor in "Kai Po Che", based on the book by Chetan Bhagat.
Hundreds of comments appeared on social media flattering Sushant Singh Rajput's career, both from fans and colleagues. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar tweeted: "Honestly this news left me shocked and speechless."
Sushant's team posted the following message to their fans: "It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We ask his fans to keep him in his thoughts and celebrate his life and work as they have done so far. We ask the media to help us maintain privacy in this time of pain".
Rajput also played the role of Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the 2016 movie “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story ”. Among his other films are: "Kedarnath, Sonchiriya" (Golden Bird) and "Raabta" (Connection).
His last performance was in the Netflix movie "Drive" in 2019, which tells the story of a famous thief, who joins a car broker to carry out a great robbery that involves an elaborate plan of deception to the authorities.
