If you want to prepare a dish that is delicious and ready in a few minutes, this recipe is for you.
Pita bread is a type of flat and soft bread, slightly fermented, made of wheat flour. It can contribute with the intestinal processes, because it is a cereal. In that sense, it is effective for older adults and people with digestive problems.

- 2 pita breads (6 inches).
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce.
- 2/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 1 Roma (plum) tomato, cut into thick 1/4" slices.
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced.
Heat the grill to medium-low heat. Grill the breads for 30 seconds; turn them over. Add pizza sauce, cheese and tomatoes. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese melts and browned underneath. Sprinkle with basil. It's that simple.
To make it easier to chop fresh basil, grab the leaves by the stems and place them on a cutting board. Using a chef's knife with the tip down, cut the basil with a rocking motion. Make sure the knife is sharp, because blunt knives will bruise the leaves. Use the basil as soon as possible after chopping it.
