These fritters are also ideal to share in certain festivities that are celebrated in some countries, since they have an orange and orange blossom touch that is perfect for many occasions. We assure you that you will not be able to stop eating them!
- 1 cup water, 250 ml
- 1/4 cups of butter, 50 g
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cups flour, 150 g
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 10 g
- 2 tablespoons of orange zest
- 1 teaspoon of orange blossom essence
- 3 eggs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Sugar, for sprinkling
In a pot heat the water, butter and salt, when it starts boiling add the flour, the baking powder, the orange zest and the orange blossom essence, move and cook for 10 minutes, or until it forms a dough. Remove from heat and let cool until warm.
Add the eggs one by one and without stopping moving the mixture, to integrate them perfectly. Beat well until you get a creamy mixture without lumps.
Heat the vegetable oil in a pot. With the help of a spoon take some of the fritter mixture and fry it for approximately 3 minutes. Remove from oil, drain and cover with sugar.
Serve and enjoy with coffee.
