At snack time, cookies are usually the stars of the table. They can also be served as snacks at meetings or family gatherings. Get ready to make them!
These cookies, prepared with a whole wheat flour, are low in saturated fat. Contain a lot of fiber, vitamins, minerals and especially antioxidants. Whole foods improve intestinal transit, help prevent disease, and are ideal for people with diabetes.
With this recipe you can prepare exquisite whole grain cookies ideal for a healthy diet.
- 180 gr of whole wheat flour.
- 50 gr of white flour.
- 80 gr of brown sugar.
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt.
- 1/2 tablespoon of chemical yeast.
- 120 g butter.
- 50 ml milk.
Place in a bowl all the dry ingredients, that is to say, whole wheat flour, white, brown sugar and yeast. Mix and add butter. Butter should be at room temperature and cut into cubes. Knead the mixture with your fingers or with the cooking robot until you get a texture similar to bread crumbs. While mixing these ingredients, gradually add the milk. Finally, make a ball with the dough and let it rest. After a few minutes you knead it again.
With the help of a rolling pin or any other similar cooking utensil, roll out the dough. To make it easier and not stick, place it between two sheets of film. Once you do, let the dough sheets cool in the freezer for about half an hour. When the dough has cooled, proceed to shape it. You get this with the help of cookie cutters. When you have given them the shape you have selected, you put them back in the freezer for the same time, so that when baking they do not lose the figure.
Finally, put them in the oven at 190 degrees for 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them so they don’t get too roasted and dry. You already have your cookies ready to drink with coffee at breakfast or snack!
