Delight your family and friends with this practical recipe.
Cheese potato patties are ideal for eating as a snack at gatherings with friends and family, or if you simply want to prepare a quick and easy dinner.
The total preparation time is only 20 minutes approximately.
- 2 ½ cups of potatoes
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese
- Olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
- 1 ½ of manchego or gouda cheese.
Peel the potatoes and cook them with plenty of water and a little salt. Then mash the potatoes, egg, flour, breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper and mix well. Make the patties with your hands. If you see that the dough sticks to your fingers a lot, add a little more flour.
Once the pattie is stretched, put a little square of Manchego or Gouda cheese in the center and close it with the dough again. Afterwards, pass the pattie through the sesame seeds, which you should have previously placed on a plate.
Put abundant olive oil in a big enough frying pan, at medium heat. When it is hot, fry the patties until they are golden. Then, take them out and place them on a tray lined with absorbent paper to eliminate the excess oil. Serve before they get cold, accompanied by some natural tomato sauce. Delicious!
